Now each endpoint is automatically checked on a monthly basis to see if this endpoint is still valid.

The Instructions document for applications and endpoints

You can upload a file with instructions containing the information, for example, on scopes that a certain application requests, and other details.

Organization removal

A CAQH administrator now can remove your organization with all the information and child entities (applications, endpoints) from the CAQH Endpoint Directory if you cancel your subscription for your organization as a Validated one.

Email notification reminders

These reminders include:

• Re-attestation of your organization profile: Now, after you have signed an order form in the CAQH Endpoint Directory, you, as a healthcare organization, will be receiving email notification reminders when your organization profile is due for the annual renewal.
• IRS document upload: You will be notified if you have not yet uploaded documents related to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) registration for CAQH verification after you published your organization profile.

Rating of applications and endpoints

You can rate published applications/endpoints in the Directory and provide your feedback based on your experience of working with a certain application or endpoint. Thus, sharing your experience with other healthcare organizations to improve visibility and to allow the applications/endpoints to build their credibility.

Email notification reminder for re-attestation of order forms

Now, after you have signed an order form in the CAQH Endpoint Directory, you, as a healthcare organization, will be receiving email notification reminders when your order forms are due for the annual renewal.

Quality report for endpoints

You, as a healthcare organization, have an ability to download and view a quality report containing quality metrics for all the endpoints of your validated organization.

Indicator for credentials exchange

Now you, as a healthcare organization, can view whether a specific organization supports automated credentials exchange through the App Developer Portal for FHIR when you send a connection request.

Modules enhancement

Now you can be granted access to the different modules (such as My Endpoints, My Applications, Directory, and Education Center) in the CAQH Endpoint Directory only based on the type of the subscription you have opted for.

Credentials exchange

Credentials exchange have been introduced and allows you, as a healthcare organization, to request credentials from your partners for specific applications and endpoints to connect with your partners' endpoint or application using the client ID and the secret key issued by your partners. Currently, the credentials exchange process is integrated with the App Developer Portal for FHIR since the Developer Portal is the application where the applications and endpoints get registered and the client ID with the secret key is issued and get stored for them.

Connection request's enhancements:

These enhancements include:

• The source and target applications and endpoints that you can select in a connection request and for which you want to get credentials from your partners.
• The Comments field that has been removed from the accepted and rejected email notifications for a connection request.

Register endpoints enhancement

The Capability Statement URL is no longer a mandatory field to register an endpoint.

Events for the Monitoring service

The capability to create and record events to the Monitoring service has been extended. Now the events are sent to the Monitoring service, when:

• The system tracks users' actions in the CAQH Endpoint Directory end-user and administrator applications.
• Users create, update, publish, or delete any entity in the CAQH Endpoint Directory.

Unvalidated Organizations

The CAQH Endpoint Directory administrators can now create unvalidated organization profiles. Such organizations can be added to the Directory without a review and will be displayed in a separate section - Unvalidated Organizations. As an Endpoint Directory user, you can claim unvalidated organizations as well as unvalidated endpoints for those organizations.

Secondary Contact for an Organization

You can now add secondary contact information to your organization profile.

Unvalidated Endpoints

The CAQH Endpoint Directory administrators can now create unvalidated endpoints. Such endpoints can be added to the Directory without a review and will be displayed in a separate section - Unvalidated Endpoints.

Application Scopes

You can now add scopes that are required for your application while registering it in Endpoint Directory.

Auto-publishing

After successful validation and approval from the CAQH administrator, your organization profile, endpoints, and applications now get automatically published to the CAQH Endpoint Directory and become available for the community.

API Updates

The Directory API does not include unvalidated organizations/endpoints in responses.

User interface updates

The updates include the following:

• The directory logo has been updated.
• The application cards in the Directory do not show the supported platform logo.

Events for the Monitoring service

The capability to create and record events to the Monitoring service has been added. Now the events are sent to the Monitoring service, when:

• The system tracks users' actions in the CAQH Endpoint Directory end-user and administrator applications.
• Users access any public API (Directory, the Partners & Connections module) from the CAQH Endpoint Directory.

Links to the FAQ pages

The links to the general product and the registration support FAQ pages provided by CAQH have been added to the CAQH Endpoint Directory.

The My Endpoints section enhancements

These enhancements include:

• The ability to set up a test user who can access your endpoints in Setup Test Application.
• The ability to set up individual test applications for each endpoint.

The CAQH Endpoint Directory enhancements

These enhancements include:

• The CARIN, EHNAC, and IRS badges on the tiles of applications and organizations that indicate whether a certain application has been attested to CARIN Code of Conduct, accredited or certified for FHIR ecosystem cybersecurity, privacy, and scalability, or whether a certain organization's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) documentation has been verified.
• Email notifications that are sent to the primary contact of your organization from the Partners & Connections module when a connection request is received/accepted/rejected.
• The ability to manage an organization's profile, applications, and endpoints by using the buttons that have been added to the panes Organization Profile Completion, Applications, and Endpoints on the Dashboard page offering you improved management capabilities that simplifying the way the users can complete their organizations' profiles, register and edit their applications and endpoints.
• The ability to accept or decline invitations from other organizations by using the new buttons on the Partners and Connections page.
• Tooltips for the fields Organization Aliases and Organization IDs in the Organization Profile section that provide an explanation of these fields' purpose.
• A message in the Organization Profile section for users who are not organization administrators of that certain organization informing them that such users cannot edit the sections Organization Details and Contact Details.

Endpoint Profile enhancements

These enhancements include:

• The filed Use Case that has been updated to include the value Data Exchange for Quality Measures for the panes Register Endpoint and Edit Endpoints.
• The field Line of Business that has been updated to include the value State Children’s Health Insurance Program for the panes Register Endpoint and Edit Endpoints.
• A new field Implementation Guide that you, as an EPD administrator, can use in the panes Register Endpoint and Edit Endpoints.

Application Profile enhancements

These enhancements include:

• A new field Use Case that has been added to the section Application Information: General of an application profile.
• New questions that have been added to the sections Submitter Information and Questionnaire of an application profile.

Directory API search enhancements

These enhancements include:

• Application ID and Redirect URL by which you can search for applications in the Directory using APIs.
• Endpoint ID by which you can search for endpoints in the Directory using APIs.

Organization Profile enhancement

The field Developer Portal URL where you can add the URL to the App Developer Portal for FHIR of your organization that will be visible on the public page of your organization has been added.

Partners & Connections enhancements

These enhancements include:

• An API that has been added for the module Partners & Connections to allow you to fetch the connection requests information.
• The ability for you, as a representative of an organization, to manage the organization's internal processes using the module Partners & Connections and to fetch the information to accept or reject the pending connection requests using APIs.

User interface notifications

On the page Dashboard of the CAQH Endpoint Directory, you can view new notifications when a certain partner, who has approved any of your connection requests, publishes an endpoint or application to the CAQH Endpoint Directory.

Email notifications for a user

You and other users of the CAQH Endpoint Directory can also be notified through email when:

1. CAQH approves a subscription/account creation request.
2. CAQH approves/rejects your organization profile.
3. CAQH approves/rejects an endpoint with/without test scenarios.
4. CAQH approves/rejects an application with/without test scenarios.
5. A certain application/endpoint of your partner is published.

Order form template enhancement

The order form template has been updated to view and sign an order form.

Organization Profile enhancements

These enhancements include:

• The ability to add a phone number and work role to a primary contact.
• The ability to see notifications related to the order form workflow.
• Mandatory publishing of your organization profile to the Directory to access the sections: Partners and Connections and Directory.

Partners and Connections enhancements

You can enter a response for the accepted/declined partner connection request and enter comments while accepting a partner connection request on the page Partners and Connections.

Order Form Template enhancements

Updates have been added to the section Permissions for a new order form template.

CAQH Endpoint Directory enhancements

To further improve user experience, the user interface of the CAQH Endpoint Directory has become more visually attractive and simple. New branding has been implemented and logically structured for you to easily navigate through the application.

Improved user interface and usability for Organization Profile

The section My Organization has been renamed to Organization Profile and completely redesigned to offer administrators and superusers an enhanced view of their organization's profile and improved user management capabilities, thus simplifying the way the administrators provide and edit their organization profile details. These enhancements include:

• Sequential steps to prepare and publish the organization’s profile: Organization Details, Contact Details, Supporting Documents, Order Form, and Attestation added to the section Organization Profile for better usability and information provision.
• The Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) used as a mandatory Organization ID.
• The ability to add supporting documents, initiate a new order form or attestation document and sign them digitally.
• The ability to add the organization aliases by which a certain organization can be searched for in the Directory.
• The ability to receive and view notifications on an organization profile approval flow each time an organization profile review status changes.

User interface notifications

You can see notifications on the navigation bar when the statuses of endpoints, applications, and connection requests change.

Authorization and access token URLs

You can enter or update the authorization and access token URLs used by your organization for the endpoints when you set up a test application during the endpoint registration.

Centralized signing

Digital signing of the order form and attestation document provides the capability of specifing the terms and conditions between CAQH and your organization as a customer for the CAQH Endpoint Directory and of a centralized signing for all the applications/endpoints, so that you do not need to attest an individual application or endpoint.

User permissions management

Now you can manage user groups and access permissions (full or read-only) for regular users and allow the certain users to perform specific operations in the Endpoint Directory based on their roles.

Integration for DocuSign

The digital signature has been integrated to the Endpoint Directory that allows your and other vendor organizations to verify the authenticity of the organization attestation information and to strengthen the data security before the patient data exchange.

Improved user interface and usability

Dashboard panes have been enhanced for quicker access to your organization profile information and available applications/endpoints.
