Apache Log4j update for an MFT agent

For an MFT agent, Apache Log4j has been updated to version 2.16.0 to address the CVE-2021-44228 security vulnerability. For more information, click here.

MFT Virtual Printer

You can install an add-on XES Cloud MFT Printer on your computer using the MFT agent setup that adds a virtual printer. The virtual printer is added to the list of available system printers and allows you to create PDF files from other types of documents and transfer the files to your partners in the PDF format.

Search through organizational agreements

You can search for a certain agreement and filter the agreements by a certain status.

Personal agreements for application users

Account administrators can establish a connection between two application users through a personal agreement.

Application Switcher

You can move to any of your Smart Trading Cloud applications to which you have access using the button that represents the application on the navigation bar.

My Profile pane

In the My Profile pane, you can view your contact and your account information. You can also go to your organization's account settings, if you have administrator permissions.

Data exchange through SFTP

The Managed File Transfer service has been enhanced with the SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) that allows you to establish a secure connection for data exchange.

Migration to Java 11

An MFT agent 19.8 requires Java 11 and is certified with OpenJDK 11 on Windows, Linux, and MacOS.

Integration with Trading Partner Management

The Managed File Transfer service has been integrated with Trading Partner Management (TPM) that allows you to create all the connectivity agreements with the partners with who you established an agreement in TPM.

Dashboard

The Dashboard has been introduced for monitoring the Managed File Transfer service system. With the Managed File Transfer Dashboard, you can:

• Get general statistics of data transfers.
• View the total transmissions count and the number of incoming and outgoing data files.
• View statistics on uploads, downloads, errors appeared during the data transfers within the time period specified.
• View statistics on partners with whom the data transfer is carried out the most frequently within the time period specified.
• View the number of notifications.
• Manage pending connectivity agreements invitations.

This simplifies data transfers monitoring and improves troubleshooting.

The following user experience enhancements have been implemented in Managed File Transfer Service 18.3.

Select the direction of data transfer in an agreement invitation

Based on your business requirements, you can specify if you want to send or/and receive data right in the new agreement invitation you create.

Create a trusted users' list

To provide the required users with access to the partner’s inboxes, you can create a list of trusted users who automatically get access to the inboxes the partner starts sharing with you. With the trusted users' list, you do not have to manually add each user to every newly shared partner inbox.

An activated agent is required to create an agreement

If you have established a connectivity agreement with your partner, you can be sure that the data you send through this agreement reaches its target destination since the concluded agreement ensures that your partner has an activated agent and is able to receive your data.
