Automated Data ExchangeNote This section is only for an administrator. If you are not an administrator, you can skip this section. With the MFT service, you can set up a direct automated data exchange without intermediators or other complicated communication systems. This helps avoid manual laborious audits, reduces costs on data transfers, and promotes a high protection level for your data without requiring you to invest any significant time and resources. To set up this exchange, you can use an application user. An application user is a special pseudo user account that is used for automated systems. The administrator can create this application account, and then assign an inbox to this account. Note When an organization account subscribes to the MFT service, a default application user with the mft.app@<account.id> name is automatically created in the organization account. All inboxes, which an account administrator creates to receive data through organizational agreements, and partner inboxes are assigned to this application user. To create the application user:
To work with the application user, you must activate an MFT agent or set up SFTP connection for the application user. To activate an MFT agent for the application user:
For example, an automated system receives data from the EDI inbox and sends acknowledgements back. For scalability reasons, there are several MFT agents installed on different servers for the application user. The account administrator has to configure the MFT service to prevent the re-processing of the same data file. In the Inboxes section, the administrator adds the application user to the EDI inbox. To balance the load on the system, the administrator can install several MFT agents, activate one of them, and copy the collablynk.key file from the XESCloudMFTData folder of the activated MFT agent to the same folders of other MFT agents. The data is then delivered to any MFT agent that is currently active. Note When an application user and a regular user are assigned to the same inbox, then all data files are delivered to all the MFT agents of the regular user. To set up SFTP connection for the application user:
