Authorized Representatives

Note To access the Member Consent service, use the Member Consent service unique portal URL of your health plan published on their website.

Invite your authorized representatives to establish connection with your authorized representatives and issue consents to them to allow a spouse, a nurse, a caregiver, parents, lawyers, and so on to access your medical data from this health plan through the Member Consent service.

To invite an authorized representative:

Note If a certain authorized representative is not a part of your health plan IdP, they will be invited to sign up through your health plan organization, and then to reconcile with you, as a member.

  1. On the Authorized Representatives page, click Invite.
  2. In the Invite Authorized Representative dialog, in Name, enter the first and last names of your authorized representative.
  3. In Email, enter the email address of your authorized representative. An email with a security key will be sent to your authorized representative to reconcile your invitation. Once reconciled (providing the security key in the Member Consent service), the authorized representative will require your final approval to complete the invitation process.
  4. In Relationship, enter information on the way in which you and your authorized representative are connected with each other (for example, a parent, a spouse, and so on).
  5. Click Invite. The invitation is sent to your authorized representative.

After your authorized representative has received your invitation in an email and provided a security key in the Member Consent service, to complete the invitation process, approve or reject the invitation.

To approve/reject invitations:

  1. On the Authorized Representatives page, on the Invitations tab, from the list with invitations, select the one you need.
  2. Next to the invitation, click Approve or Reject.

If you have received an invitation from your authorized representatives, as a health plan member, reconcile the invitation to start issuing consents to them.

To reconcile an invitation:

  1. On the Authorized Representatives page, click Reconcile Invitation.
  2. In the Reconcile Invitation dialog, in Security Key, enter the security key that you received in the invitation email.
  3. Click Reconcile.

Note You cannot reconcile an invitation using the security key once the invitation has been recalled by the authorized representative.

The Authorized Representatives page of the Member Consent service displays the authorized representatives who can access your medical data and act on your behalf for eligibility purposes and displays your invitations sent to these authorized representatives.
