Members
Note To access the Member Consent service, use the Member Consent service unique portal URL of your member's health plan published on their website.
To establish a connection with members and get consents from them to be able to access their medical data from their health plan, you can send invitations to members or receive the invitations from them.
To invite a member:
Note If a certain member is not a part of a specific health plan IdP, they will be invited to sign up through this health plan organization, and then to reconcile with you, as an authorized representative.
- On the Members page, click Invite.
- In the Invite Member dialog, in Name, enter the first and last names of the member.
- In Email, enter the email address of the member. An email with the reconciliation key and instructions on how to reconcile your invitation to let you act as their authorized representative will be sent to the member to register with the Member Consent service (just in case the member is not a part of the identity provider).
- In Member ID, enter the ID of the member with whom you want to establish connection. Once the member has reconciled your invitation, the Member Consent service fetches the correct member ID from the IdP and displays the ID when the connection is successfully established. The data entered by you is displayed on the Invitations tab while the connection is not established since the connection is not validated.
- In Relationship, enter information on how you and the member are connected, for example, a parent, a spouse, and so on.
- Click Invite. The invitation is sent to the member.
When you receive an invitation from your member, as an authorized representative, reconcile your invitation to start receiving consents from your member. To reconcile the invitation, enter the security key you received in the invitation email. If successful, you will then have to await the member's approval.
To reconcile an invitation:
- On the Members page, click Reconcile Invitation.
- In the Reconcile Invitation dialog, in Security Key, enter the security key that you received in the invitation email.
- Click Reconcile.
Once you have successfully reconciled the member invitation and the member approves the reconciled invitation from their side, you can view the member record with the fetched information in the list on the Active tab.
Note You cannot reconcile an invitation using the security key once the invitation has been recalled.
After you have reconciled the invitation, the invitation is assigned the Pending Member Action status. To complete the invitation process, the member should approve or reject the invitation.
The Members page of the Member Consent service displays the members on behalf of whom you can access medical data and whom you can act as for eligibility purposes and displays your invitations sent to these members.
