Plan Account Management

The Member Account service offers you the following capabilities to manage your plan account:

  • Add information on your plan that is visible to your plan members
  • Customize the email disclaimer text
  • Change your logo, terms of service, and the XEConnect Authorization service URL(s)
  • Add administrators or viewers to your plan account
  • Invite administrators from Edifecs if you need support

Welcome text

When members sign in to the Member Account service, along with their account and insurance plan details, they can view the information on their payer. This can be a payer location, customer service contacts, and other useful details. You can add and update this information on the Account Configuration page ( on the left navigation bar), in Additional Information.

Email disclaimer

The emails that your members receive from the Member Account service (for example, to confirm their registration) contain a default disclaimer text placed below the message body. To customize this text, go to Account Configuration > Email Disclaimer and change this text using the editor.

Logo

You can change your logo on the Account Configuration page, in Advanced. You can also upload a group of logos combined in a single file.

Note If your logo's width exceeds 300 px, due to layout constraints, your logo is replaced by the Member Account Service placeholder in the following locations:
- Member Account service start page (top-left corner),
- Member sign-up page (on the top of the sigh-up form),
- Member sign-in page.

Authorization service and Terms of Service URLs

On the Account Configuration page, in Advanced, you can edit the redirect URL(s) of the XEConnect Authorization service, as well as the terms of service link (or PDF document) that your members see when they register or sign in to their member accounts.

Plan account users

As a plan account administrator, you can add more users to your organization account in the Smart Trading Cloud to allow them to edit or view the members' details in the Member Account service.

To add plan account users and give read/write permissions:

  1. In Member Account service, go to My Profile by clicking on the left navigation bar, and then click Manage Organization Account.
  2. In the Smart Trading Cloud that opens, create or invite users to your organization account.
  3. Add users to the group Members Admins or Members Viewers depending on the roles you want to give them.

Edifecs administrators

If you have any issues with your members' records that you are not able to resolve, you can temporarily add one or several administrators from Edifecs.

To invite Edifecs administrator(s):

  1. In Member Account service, go to the page Account Configuration by clicking on the left navigation bar.
  2. In Edifecs Administrators, click Add New Edifecs Admin.
  3. Enter the email address or a group name of Edifecs administrators, select the access type (Viewer or Editor), specify the time range for which they can access your plan account, and then click Add.

You can see the list of Edifecs administrators you added on the page Account Configuration, in Edifecs Administrators. When you select an administrator from the list, you can:

  • Click to remove the Edifecs administrator's record from your account.
  • Click to open the editor where you can change the access type and allowed activity time range, as well as suspend the Edifecs admin's access to your account (set admin status to Inactive) with the possibility to restore the access later (set admin status to Active).

All the actions that Edifecs administrators perform in your account are reported to a log that you can view by clicking Go to Admin Activity Log in Edifecs Administrators.
