Manage Tasks
In the Manage Tasks section, you can add, delete, edit, disable, reset tasks, and also set up environment variables for program and enrollment execution.
Add a task
To add a task to a program:
- On the Programs In Design page, click the program name.
- Under the Program Setup tab, click Add Task, and then, from the drop-down menu, select the type of task you want to add.
- or - To add a new task to an in-design program that already contains tasks, click Manage Tasks under the Program Setup tab, and on the page that opens, click Add Task.
- Enter the task details, and then click Save or Save & Close.
You can also add tasks to the programs that have been already published.
To add a task to a published program:
- On the Programs page, click the program name.
- Under the Program Setup tab, click Manage Tasks.
- Click Add Task, and from the drop-down menu, select a task.
- Enter the task details, and then click Save & Publish.
Delete a task
You can delete a task from the In Design and Published programs but not from an Ended program.
Note The task will be removed from a Published program only for those partners who have not yet started the program.
To delete a task from an In Design program:
- On the Programs In Design page, click the program name.
- Under the Program Setup tab, click Manage Tasks.
- Select a task, and then in the task details, click Delete and Confirm.
Disable a task
You can disable a task in a Published program but not a task in an In Design program or an Ended program.
To disable a task in a published program:
- On the Programs page, Click the program name.
- Under the Program Setup tab, click Manage Tasks.
- Select a task, and then, in the task details, click Disable.
Edit a task
To edit a task:
- Click the program name on the Programs page.
- Under the Program Setup tab, click Manage Tasks.
- Select a task, make the required changes, and then click Save & Publish.
When you edit a task in an In Design program, you can change the information in all the fields. However, when you edit a task in a Published and Active program or in an Ended program, you, as a program owner, cannot make changes to some of the fields:
- Agreement: consent text, signatories
- Data Collection: JSON form
- Testing: You cannot add or edit steps
- Certificate: organization seal, organization logo, certificate title, certificate description, certified by, validity, certificate key for authentication, authentication URL, signatory (name, designation)
- API Collection: You cannot add or edit APIs
As a program participant, you cannot make any changes to any of the tasks.
Reset a task
As a program owner, you can reset any task in the program to Not Started.
To reset a task from an active program:
- On the Active Programs tab of the Programs page, click the program name.
- Under the Tasks tab, click the task you want to reset.
- On the right side of the tab, click Reset (
). A confirmation dialog is displayed as the task you are trying to reset may have some other tasks associated with it.
- Confirm the reset.
Set up environment variables for program and enrollment execution
Under the Program Setup tab of a program, you can add the program and enrollment execution level variables with a key and a value that you can edit or delete. These variables are referred to for all the steps configured within a certain task across a certain program and are valid across all the tasks that are present for the program. The scope of the defined variable is valid at each execution level for all the tasks within the same program.
Note Values for the configured variables get updated only after the task is completed regardless of the passed or failed executions.
Set up environment variables at the program level:
- On the Programs In Design page, click the program name.
-or- Click the program name on the Active Programs tab of the Programs page.
- Under the Program Setup tab, click Manage Tasks.
- On the top right corner of the page, click Setup Environment Variables.
- In the Environment Variables dialog, click
to add program environment variables.
- In Key and Value, enter the key and the value for each variable.
- Click Save.
To delete a variable, next to each key-value pair, click to delete the key-value pair.
Note You can also edit each key-value pair.
